According to a Human Rights Expert, Volodymyr Zelensky, embattled President of Ukraine, may have committed Human Rights abuses on the citizens of Ukraine when he closed the Ukrainian borders to all “fighting age” men. Zelensky basically forced men and boys between the ages of 18 to 60 to stay in the country and face the Russian assault whether they liked it or not. And this, aside from being immoral, may constitute serious Human Rights abuses.

We must take into consideration the fact that the Russian offensive against Ukraine did not come without warning. In fact, it had been brewing for several years leading up to the actual war. Putin had repeatedly warned that an invasion would be imminent if certain treaties are violated. In essence, NATO helped push Russia and Ukraine into a conflict and then pulled out like a bunch of cowards.

We cannot ignore the fact that Putin’s invasion is unjustified and evil, but at the same time, Zelensky’s reaction to the invasion reeks of pride, selfishness, and an overinflated ego. He ordered all Ukrainian men (except those who somehow managed to flee) to stay in the country, whether they liked it or not, and engage in a long, damaging, punishing, fruitless, and ultimately stupid war. The Russia/Ukraine war, by the way, is one of the stupidest wars ever fought, but that’s a topic for another day.

The right thing for Zelensky to have done after Russia invaded Ukraine was to step down from the seat of government, flee the country, and seek refuge in an allied nation. Yes, Russia would have taken the country, but that would have given Zelensky and his NATO allies enough time to plan a counter-attack and put Russia in its place for good. Zelensky should not have sacrificed so many precious lives and limbs for the sake of satisfying his overinflated ego. Even if Ukraine wins the war against Russia eventually, the losses are already so extensive that it will still be a virtual defeat.

NATO helped push Ukraine and Russia into a bloody, pointless, and costly war, but pulled out in time with the excuse that they are afraid of a Russian Nuclear attack. Let’s take out the fluff from that idea: NATO just said that it’s afraid of Russia. So NATO, the world’s most powerful military alliance, is afraid of Russia but thinks it’s OK to send weapons to Ukrainian civilians to fight and blow themselves up.

The war in Ukraine is so pointless, stupid, and cruel that it makes you search for a hidden agenda behind it. There seems to be powers at work behind the scenes in this war. What is the ulterior motive? Can you guess?
