Sextortion, to put it simply, is blackmailing someone for money after tricking them into sending nude photos during an intimate conversation. The criminal threatens to splatter the nudes to close friends and family of the victim unless he or she pays up. Most of the time, the victim is a male, and the criminal is a female or a male pretending to be a female. In many instances, police uncovered that females were being held at gunpoint and forced to play roles in these types of crimes.

International Police are now on the hunt for a cybercriminal or criminals using a Guyanese number to cyberbully and extort people. One of the victims, who resides in the USA, has paid Interpol a huge sum of money to take down the criminal. Police are now using high tech devices to try to track the criminals’ location. They say they plan to shoot the criminal upon sight. Police say they have located the criminal to a 5 mile radius. It is now only a matter of time before they zero in on the exact location and take down the criminal.
